Class Description
Cooking Lighter This class is designed to teach healthy and delicious cooking that your entire family would enjoy. Recipes may include sweet and sour tofu, stir fry, miso soup and much more.
Super Salads Sick and tired of the same old salads every Shabbat? These new salad and dressings will add some new color and flavors to your Shabbat table. Recipes may include Fennel mango salad, and Spicy Grilled Corn Salad with Black Bean and Roasted Red Pepper and much more.
Seasonal Vegetables for Soup, Sides and Desserts In this class we will be using seasonal vegetables to create a sensational fall menu, from soup to sides to delectable desserts. Your family will enjoy these satisfying meals to use for Shabbat or weekday. Recipes may include butternut squash and apple soup, asparagus and mushroom ragout, and pumpkin cookies with parve cream cheese frosting and much more.
Fish in a Flash Class One Fish should be a delicious part of just about any diet. In this class, students create a variety of fish dishes using different cooking techniques. Recipes may include, salmon wontons, beer battered fish and wasabi crusted stripped bass and much more.
Sushi Factory (Great for kids parties too.) Learn the ancient art of preparing delicious sushi and the secret of its delicate flavors and beautiful appearance. After you leave this hands-on class, you will be ready to select the best ingredients, prepare perfect sushi rice and make elegant sushi rolls.
Bread Baking Leave behind the chaos and discover the relaxing craft of bread baking. Learn to make different kinds of bread... from Challah to low fat whole-wheat crescent rolls and Irish oatmeal bread. You'll never want to step in to a bakery again once you learn how to make your own!
Dairy Delights Class 1 Cheesecake... say no more. In this class we will make food that we can really impress our Shavuot guests with. Easy cheese blintzes, pasta dishes and delectable dairy desserts that we wait all year to eat that include crème brulee and much more.
Traditional Jewish Cuisine Have you always wanted to know how to make your Bubbie's gefilta fish, or to make perfect stuffed cabbage? In this class we will make traditional Jewish food that we all had in our bubby's kitchen. Recipes include gefilta fish, Brisket, stuffed cabbage, kugels and more.
Thanksgiving In this class we will be using seasonal vegetables to create a sensational fall menu, from soup to sides to delectable desserts. Your family will enjoy these satisfying meals to use for Shabbat or weekday. Recipes may include homemade apple pie, pumkin bread, Autumn Harvest Red Lentil Soup with Basil Cream, Roasted Root Vegetables with Spiced Pecans and much more.
Chanukah appetizers and party food Chanukah means family parties. In this new class we will prepare finger foods and appetizers to serve to your guests as well as being able to use them for Shabbat and Yom Tov appetizers.
Shabbat Shalom Sick and tired of the same food every week for Shabbat? In this class we will prepare new and exciting dishes that will impress your family and your guests. We will make a full course Shabbat meal that is quick, easy and delectable. Menu may include, Thai Fish cakes on a bed of noodles, Turkey Roast stuffed with Pastrami with pineapple sauce, and Shallot Potatoes.
Fruit Festival Learn how to cut fruit and garnishing like the professionals. Covers fruit presentation skills. After the demonstrations we will make some dessert using seasonal fruits including apple pie made from scratch, fruit jam rolls and much more.
“Souper” Soups Nothing like a bowl of soup to warm your soul (and fill your tummy!) In this class you will learn the secrets to making stocks for great soups as well as accompaniments to your soups. Recipes may include: miso onion soup with cheese twists, Crème Wild Mushroom and Flounder Bouillabaisse.
Purim Seuda Liven up your Purim seudah or any festive meal with this new and exciting menu fit for any king and queen. An international menu will be prepared, from Moroccan to Israeli, Australian to American.
Pesach Cooking Tired of potatoes and chicken for Pesach? In this class you will learn how to impress your guests with this explosive new menu that will impress your family and your guests. Recipes will include, sweet and sour tilapia, chocolate nut torte, poached chicken in red wine sauce and much more.
Class 2 Fish should be a delicious part of just about any diet. In this class, students create a variety of fish dishes using different cooking techniques. Recipes may include, Mango Marinated Salmon, Pina Colada Halibut Gravlax and much more.
Chicken Done 7 Ways Finally a class that throws away old recipes and starts with an all-new menu and fresh ingredients. We will prepare seven new chicken recipes with several types of cooking techniques.
Dairy Delights Class 2 We never get a chance to make food with butter, cheese or cream like the professionals in the cooking schools in the city. Now we have a chance for this yom tov. We will prepare a dairy menu for you to use on Shavuot or any seuda shlishet. Simple dairy dough, Greek salad with Feta cheese, Ricotta and artichoke Bruschetta are just some of the fabulous menu that will be shown.
